Cookie Policy

Last Updated: June 29, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how Alpha Training & Consulting ("we," "our," or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

Under the EU ePrivacy Directive and GDPR, we require your active consent before placing any non-essential cookies. Our cookie banner gives you the choice to accept all cookies or only essential ones, and you can change your preference at any time.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored for a defined period).

3. Cookies We Use

3.1 Essential Cookies (always active)

These cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. They cannot be disabled via our banner.

Cookie / Storage keyPurposeDuration
cookie_consent Stores your cookie preference so the banner does not reappear on every page (localStorage) Until cleared by user

3.2 Analytics Cookies (require consent)

These cookies are only set after you click "Accept All" on our cookie banner. They help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.

CookieProviderPurposeDuration
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes unique users 2 years
_ga_* Google Analytics Persists session state 2 years
_gid Google Analytics Distinguishes users (24-hour window) 24 hours

We use Google Consent Mode v2, which means Google Analytics is initialized in a consent-denied state by default. No identifiable data is sent to Google until you grant analytics consent. If you decline, Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless signals (modelable data) to improve measurement accuracy — no personal data is transmitted in that case.

4. How We Obtain Consent

On your first visit, a banner at the bottom of the screen presents two choices:

  • Accept All — enables analytics cookies in addition to essential cookies.
  • Essential Only — only essential cookies are used; all analytics are blocked.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key cookie_consent. The banner will not reappear unless you clear this value.

5. How to Change or Withdraw Your Consent

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using any of these methods:

  • Clear local storage: Open your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage → delete the cookie_consent entry → reload the page. The banner will reappear.
  • Browser cookie settings: Delete cookies set by this site from your browser's privacy/cookie settings.
  • Google Analytics opt-out add-on: Install the browser add-on to block Google Analytics across all websites.

6. Third-Party Cookies and Services

We currently use Google Analytics (subject to consent) as our only third-party tracking service. Google's use of data collected through our site is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, advertising networks, or retargeting cookies.

7. Similar Technologies

localStorage is used solely to store your cookie-consent preference. It does not transmit data to any server and is not accessible by third parties.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use. Material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last Updated" date and, where required, a renewed consent prompt.
